Panama compete in Group L of the FIFA World Cup 2026, playing all group matches in Toronto and New York/New Jersey. This is Panama’s second World Cup appearance after their 2018 debut in Russia, where they lost all three group games but scored their first-ever World Cup goal against England. Group L opponents are England, Croatia, and Ghana.

Panama’s entire group stage takes place in the Eastern timezone corridor, delivering back-to-back 18:00 local kickoffs for the Ghana and Croatia matches, and a 16:00 afternoon kickoff against England. This is one of the most fan-friendly group stage schedules for a Central American team at any World Cup. The large Panamanian diaspora community in Miami and New York can watch at identical or near-identical times. Group L with England, Croatia, and Ghana is a tough draw. Playing all three matches against opponents with their own timezone complications gives Panama a level playing field emotionally.
