Scuderia Ferrari

Italy

Scuderia Ferrari are the oldest and most successful team in Formula 1 history, based in Maranello, Italy. With 16 Constructors’ Championships and 243 race victories since the inaugural 1950 season, they are the only team to have competed in every World Championship year. Ferrari field Charles Leclerc (car #16) and Lewis Hamilton (car #44) in 2026, the most star-studded driver pairing on the grid.

Hamilton, a seven-time World Champion with 104 race victories, made the blockbuster move to Maranello after more than a decade at Mercedes. Leclerc, the established Ferrari driver since 2019, brings intimate knowledge of the team’s working culture and has developed into one of the sport’s most complete competitors. The internal dynamic between these two will define Ferrari’s season.

Ferrari’s history is unmatched in motorsport. From the championship years of Alberto Ascari in the 1950s through the Niki Lauda era of the 1970s to the Michael Schumacher dynasty that delivered five consecutive titles from 2000 to 2004, the Prancing Horse has shaped every generation of Formula 1. Legendary drivers including Juan Manuel Fangio, Gilles Villeneuve, Alain Prost, and Kimi Raikkonen have all raced in Ferrari red.

The 2026 power unit, developed entirely at Ferrari’s Maranello campus, represents a major opportunity. Ferrari’s engine department has been competitive in recent seasons, and the new regulations, with their increased electrical deployment and reduced fuel flow, play to strengths they have invested heavily in. The chassis and aerodynamic teams face the same blank-sheet challenge as every constructor, but Ferrari’s resources and engineering depth make them a strong contender from the outset.

Ferrari are based in Maranello, Italy. The Italian Grand Prix at Monza in September serves as their spiritual home race, where the tifosi create an atmosphere unlike anything else in motorsport. The dense European schedule from June through September provides weekly racing at comfortable afternoon viewing times for fans following from Italy time.
